Patrikios Legal is proud to announce that our Executive Chairman, Stavros Pavlou, has been appointed as a Member of the ICC International Court of Arbitration, representing Cyprus.
The ICC International Court of Arbitration is widely recognised as the world’s leading arbitral institution, administering thousands of international disputes involving states, multinational corporations, financial institutions and commercial parties from across the globe. For more than a century, the ICC has played a pivotal role in shaping the development of international arbitration and promoting the effective resolution of cross-border disputes.
Although the Court does not determine the merits of disputes, it performs a vital function in the administration of arbitration proceedings, including the scrutiny of arbitral awards, the confirmation and appointment of arbitrators, and the safeguarding of the quality, integrity and efficiency of the arbitral process.
Stavros’ appointment is a significant professional achievement and reflects his longstanding contribution to the field of international arbitration, his extensive experience in complex cross-border disputes and his active involvement within the international arbitration community. With more than four decades of experience in dispute resolution and over twenty years dedicated to international arbitration, Stavros has acted as counsel, arbitrator and tribunal president in numerous domestic and international proceedings.
