The Cyprus Bar Association and the English Bar Council successfully organised the 2nd EnglishCypriot Law Day conference, which was held in Limassol, Cyprus on the 8th September 2017.
Highly praised speakers from Cyprus and abroad made stimulating presentations on the developments in the Common Law of England and Wales, Interim Preservation of Assets and evidence in Civil Proceedings, Money Laundering, and much more.
As a leading law firm, Patrikios Pavlou & Associates LLC was one of the main contributors to the event. Mr Stavros Pavlou, Senior and Managing Partner of the Firm, chaired the panel “Interim Preservation of Assets and evidence in Civil Proceedings”, addressing the topic “Interim Measures in Aid of Foreign Proceedings; Is it time for the Black Swan to fly to Cyprus?”.
A lively discussion followed with the audience, which included more than 100 lawyers from Cyprus and abroad. The participants expressed their great satisfaction for all the professional presentations and valuable outcome of the event.
Recently, two of our Firm’s lawyers from the dispute resolution practice, Ms Eirini Skouzou and Mr Christos Ioannou, have successfully passed the course Module 2 - The Laws of Arbitration in International Commercial Arbitration by the Cyprus Branch of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators (CIArb).
